Request a PIN, Activate MyNYCERS
As a NYCERS member, you need a PIN, or Personal Identification Number, to access MyNYCERS and file forms online, see an estimate of your retirement benefit, and more.
Now you can get a PIN instantly by text or email and start using MyNYCERS immediately. Here’s how:
- STEP 1. Start by visiting the MyNYCERS Login page and click the “Activate Your MyNYCERS Account” button. You will need to create a User Name, Password, and Security Question and Answer — make a note of them, because you will need them in the future.
- STEP 2. Once you’ve completed the activation, watch your e-mail or text messages for your PIN. It will be sent within 2 minutes of activation and will expire in 20 minutes, so be sure to follow the instructions to register it immediately.
PENSIONERS, PLEASE NOTE: If you signed up and registered your PIN when you were an Active member, you do NOT need to re-register with your Pension number. Log in with your Member Number and the User Name and Password you set up under your Active membership.
ALL MEMBERS: If you have already activated your account and the PIN is lost or has expired, log in and follow the instructions to request a new PIN. PINs cannot be given over the phone by Customer Service or any other NYCERS employee.
